First up...This Indiana Jones theater was designed by home theater expert Doug Charrois. It includes a replica of the Holy Grail and whips and torches. more info

Next up...The starship Enterprise ncc-1701d. Clean and detailed. It has a bar area, 8 servers with over 3,000 dvds stored in them, and even a red alert button that flashes red lights and plays tense music when pushed. more info

The Nautilus...Yep, based after the sub in 20,000 leagues under the sea. more info

The Titanic. This setup contains over 1,200 fiber-obtic strands to simulate the night sky. The bar area can be accessed behind a motorized bookcase. Designed by Donny Hackett. more info

SuperPooper already posted this one. The Batcave...too lazy to recap it. more info

Based after one of my favorite movie series, Pirates of the Caribbean...The Pirate's Cove. The owners built in a star field in the ceiling to make an artificial night sky. I can guarantee you that it is nothing like those glow in the dark stickers that you used to put above your bed.

The Death Star...No need to explain what inspired this one. Includes automatic doors, twinkling fiber-optics star field. Designed by Doug Chiang, Lead designer for episodes 1 & 2. more info

The following is apparently one of the most technically and structurally advanced home theaters in the US. This Star Trek based theater has motorized sliding doors. The owner paid over $3,000,000 for the transformation. more info

This Trekkie built this himself with a budget of around $15,000. 2 years for this basement conversion.

Lastly...the Sci Fi Cinema. The props in this theater are the best parts: hydraulic alien bursting out of the walls, a talking robbie the robot, a predator and black lagoon creature behind bars,...you get the idea. more info

One other thing to consider is that if you do not plan to use your home theater often you can choose home theater furniture that isn’t as comfortable or as durable or easy to clean, but keep in mind that this sort of Home Theater Seating may not be worth it in the long run.
